Green Bean Almondine

Ingredients

2 cups of fresh green beans

2 tablespoons of butter

2 tablespoons of slivered almonds

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Method

  1. Wash the green beans and trim off the ends.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to boil and add the beans. Boil for 4 minutes.
  3. Drain the beans and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the almonds and cook for about 1 minute until the almonds are lightly browned.
  6. Add the green beans and lemon juice to the skillet.
  7. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through.
  8. Serve warm. Enjoy!
